Taskfied Freelancing Marketplace – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to Taskfied (“Platform,” “we,” “us,” “our”), a United Kingdom-based online freelancing marketplace connecting individuals and businesses with freelance professionals for various tasks and projects. By accessing or using Taskfied, all users (“User,” “you,” “your”), including Buyers and Sellers, agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any additional legal guidelines provided on the website.
These Terms and Conditions create a legally binding agreement between you and Taskfied. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Definitions
- Buyer: A User who purchases services or tasks on the Platform.
- Seller: A User who provides services or tasks on the Platform.
- Service/Task: A specific job, project, or deliverable provided by a Seller to a Buyer.
- Account: A registered profile on Taskfied, whether as a Buyer, Seller, or both.
- Fees: Transaction fees, service fees, or any additional costs applied by Taskfied for using the Platform.
- Dispute: Any disagreement between a Buyer and a Seller regarding a service, deliverable, or payment.
3. General User Obligations
- Eligibility: Users must be at least 18 years old to create an Account on Taskfied. By using Taskfied, you confirm that you have the legal authority to enter into contracts and use the Platform in compliance with these Terms.
- Account Creation: Users agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain the security of their Account by not sharing login details with third parties.
- Compliance with Laws: Users are responsible for complying with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction related to the use of the Platform, including but not limited to tax obligations.
- Prohibited Conduct: Users are prohibited from:
- Using the Platform for illegal activities or services not permitted under UK law.
- Engaging in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading practices.
- Distributing viruses, spam, or other harmful content on the Platform.
4. Buyer Terms and Conditions
4.1. Purchasing Services
- Requesting Services: Buyers may browse and request services from Sellers. Each service will include a description, pricing, and delivery time as specified by the Seller.
- Payment Terms: All payments must be made through Taskfied’s payment gateway. Payments will be held by Taskfied until the Buyer confirms that the service was satisfactorily delivered.
- Service Agreement: By purchasing a service, the Buyer enters into a direct agreement with the Seller, subject to Taskfied’s Terms. Buyers are responsible for ensuring they have provided all necessary information and requirements for the Seller to fulfill the service.
- Non-Circumvention: Buyers agree not to contact Sellers outside of Taskfied to avoid Platform fees.
- Right to Cancel: Buyers may cancel orders only before a Seller has started working on them. Refunds are subject to Taskfied’s Refund Policy.
4.2. Receiving and Accepting Services
- Approval of Deliverables: Upon receiving the final deliverable, Buyers have [x days] to review and request any necessary revisions per the order details.
- Acceptance of Service: If the Buyer does not respond within [x days] after the final delivery, the service is automatically accepted, and payment will be released to the Seller.
4.3. Dispute Resolution
- Raising a Dispute: If a Buyer is unsatisfied with the service, they may open a dispute with the Seller within [x days] of receiving the final deliverable. Taskfied’s support team will mediate the dispute.
- Refunds: Refunds may be issued at Taskfied’s discretion, subject to the specifics of the Dispute and evidence provided by both parties.
5. Seller Terms and Conditions
5.1. Providing Services
- Service Listings: Sellers must provide accurate descriptions, pricing, and expected delivery times for all services offered. Taskfied reserves the right to remove or edit listings that violate Platform policies.
- Service Quality and Delivery: Sellers agree to provide services to the Buyer as specified and to complete orders within the agreed-upon timeframe. Failing to meet these requirements can result in penalties or Account suspension.
- Payment to Sellers: Upon completion and acceptance of services by the Buyer, Taskfied will release funds to the Seller, less any applicable service fees.
- Non-Circumvention: Sellers agree not to contact Buyers outside of Taskfied to bypass Platform transaction fees.
5.2. Seller Responsibilities
- Quality Standards: Sellers must meet the quality standards as agreed in their service description and respond to Buyer inquiries promptly.
- Revisions and Modifications: If the Buyer requests revisions per the original service terms, Sellers must accommodate these within the stated revision limit.
- Service Fees: Taskfied charges a service fee on each transaction, deducted from the Seller’s earnings upon completion of the order.
5.3. Dispute Resolution
- Disputes with Buyers: In cases where a Buyer raises a dispute, Sellers are expected to engage in a cooperative manner to seek a resolution.
- Chargebacks and Refunds: Sellers may be required to return all or part of the payment depending on Taskfied’s determination of the Dispute outcome.
6. Fees and Payments
- Service Fees: Taskfied charges a percentage-based fee on each transaction, deducted from the Seller’s earnings.
- Withdrawal of Funds: Sellers may request withdrawals to a linked payment account, subject to a minimum threshold and payment processing timelines. Taskfied reserves the right to delay or hold payments to prevent fraud or comply with legal obligations.
- Currency and Payment Processing Fees: All transactions are processed in GBP (£). Any currency conversion or additional processing fees are borne by the User.
7. Intellectual Property and Copyright
7.1. Ownership of Deliverables and Transfer of Rights
- Buyer’s Rights to Deliverables: Upon successful completion and payment, Buyers obtain a license to use the deliverables for their intended purpose as specified in the service description.
- Seller’s Rights to Pre-existing Materials: Sellers retain ownership of any pre-existing materials or intellectual property incorporated into deliverables unless otherwise agreed.
- Transfer of Ownership: If the service agreement includes a full transfer of copyright, Sellers agree to transfer such rights explicitly as part of the service deliverables.
7.2. Liability for Intellectual Property and Copyright Violations
- Responsibility for Copyright Compliance: Sellers are responsible for ensuring that any materials they provide do not infringe upon third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
- Indemnification by Sellers: Sellers agree to indemnify Taskfied from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from a Buyer’s use of copyrighted or intellectual property-infringing materials.
- Buyer’s Responsibility for Usage: Buyers are responsible for using deliverables in compliance with copyright laws. Taskfied is not liable for any copyright or intellectual property issues arising from the Buyer’s use of deliverables provided by Sellers.
- Disclaimer of Liability: Taskfied is not responsible for verifying the legality or originality of content delivered by Sellers.
7.3. Third-Party Materials
- Use of Licensed or Open-Source Materials: If a Seller includes licensed or open-source materials within the deliverables, they must disclose any associated terms or restrictions to the Buyer.
- Indemnification for Third-Party Claims: Both Buyers and Sellers agree to indemnify Taskfied from any claims resulting from the improper use of third-party materials.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Platform as a Venue: Taskfied provides a platform for Users to connect but does not guarantee the quality, legality, or reliability of services provided by Sellers.
- No Liability for Losses: Taskfied is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.
- Maximum Liability: Taskfied’s maximum liability for any claims related to the Platform will not exceed the fees paid by the User in the three months preceding the claim.
9. Account Suspension and Termination
- Suspension: Taskfied reserves the right to suspend or terminate User accounts for violating these Terms, engaging in illegal activity, or attempting to circumvent Platform fees.
- Effect of Termination: Upon termination, any pending transactions may be canceled, and funds may be returned to the respective Buyer. Terminated accounts forfeit access to any earned or pending payments.
10. Amendments and Updates
Taskfied reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the Platform after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
